Who would have thought that the reveal of the final cylon would turn out to be one of the least shocking moments in last night's episode?  I had about 3 hours of sleep after the end of "Sometimes a Great Notion" before I awoke to images of all things BSG running amok in my brain.  I don't quite know what triggered it but I became incredibly disappointed that Doc Cottle wasn't the Fifth.  It came out of nowhere; I'd never seriously considered him so why now?  Actually, now that I think about it, as daybreak is on the horizon, it dawns on me that Donnelly Rhodes didn't even appear in this episode.  I recall Admiral Adama mentioning his character's name to a despondent Laura Roslin but that was it.  At the very least iIt might have been nice to hear something about radiation decontamination from him. I even would have appreciated  a poignant word or two as he pulled the sheet over the body of poor Lt. Dualla.  As far as the identity of that last cylon is concerned I really don't know what to think.  I spent so much time telling myself that it wasn't even relevant given the events that closed out Season 4.0 that my head is spinning.  It may be days before I get a good night's sleep again. I'll post again when I can post something more insightful - or when I've invented another new drink.
