I was REALLY afraid Scifi was going to let Season 4.5 begin without giving anyone a chance to catch up on what they might have missed.  I still mourn the loss of my saved episodes which mysteriously deleted themselves from my DVR a few months ago.  While I can catch the odd online replay on scifi.com it's just not the same as watching on the 42" screen in my kitchen.   The DVD's are still set for release on January 6 and the final episodes begin airing at 10pm on January 16.  Apparently Scifi wants me to take off a day from work to settle in for the big event.  The fun starts at 8:30 am when they air the last three episodes from Season 3 and continues with all of the Season 4.0 episodes.   Periodically throughout the day they are showing something called, Battlestar Galactica:  The Top 10 Things You Need to Know (or something like that).  There's no link on the website so I'm not exactly sure what it is but, what the frak, if it's BSG, I'm gonna watch.  Before you realize what's happening it's going to be 10pm!  I'm looking forward to it with mixed emotions.  As Admiral Adama once said about one of his books, "It's so good I don't want it to end".  I may have that quote slightly wrong but it's close enough and absolutely how I feel about this show.
